Hi

My name is Millie and my life did not start out very good.  I remember it was very cold and I was starving. In the distance I could hear families laughing as they hung Christmas decorations. I was too scared to approach anyone. I had been rejected many times before. I was sitting in a field shivering and feeling hopeless when a man spotted me. He called to his wife to come out and look. I saw a lady come out of the house “I was scared but had no strength left to run”and I heard her say with kindness in her voice “come here puppy, come here"  I’m not going to hurt you” She picked me up cuddling me in her arms, as she said “It’s ok your safe now” I managed to muster enough energy to wag my tail as I nestled in her warm coat. I was given a warm place to lay my head and some food to fill my belly. The lady was not well and she knew she could not keep me. It was snowing very hard when the drove me to the Olive Branch, but I knew I was safe and loved as the lady held me on her lap.

Up Date: I have gained weight and I'm doing much better now. I know I'm loved and "WOW" how great that feels. I'm very friendly, but can still be a bit shy when strangers come in...but once I know they want to be my friend I will cuddle and give lots of kissessss. I do very well with cats, I found they can be quite fun to play with and I'm good with other dogs too. At first I was selfish with my food or any other food I thought could me mine, its only cause I didn't know if or when I would eat again. But know that I know I have food every day I'm willing to share. 

It took one human's heartless act to almost kill me, and another human's love and kindness to save me.

Now that I have been given a second chance to live, all I need is a forever family and home. Someone to love and care for me. I'm very sweet and would make a great family companion.  I will give you unconditional love in return.  

I've been started on my vaccines, dewormer I am spayed and showed negative for Heartworm.  I have been started on Heartguard Plus.

The pictures of me when I first came in are shocking, but look at me know. Amazing what food can do!
